From time to time I’ll build a concept piece just for the fun of it. Lou Alessi was one of the old school leather masters and you can see his influence in a lot of leather holsters being made today. He made a lot of what he called pull-thru snap holsters and this is my take.
I love the new colt revolvers and when the Cobra came out I purchased one and needed something to carry it in off duty. This is my interpretation of the Alessi pull thru snap. I like this design as it gives some security from losing the gun yet allows a strait pull draw unlike a traditional thumb break. I also find it a little easier to secure the gun when reholstering.
For this example I used black leather stamped with my company logo, I finished it with blue thread and a spare speed loader pouch. I don’t know why but I got away form this thumb strap design but I need to get back to it I think!
We can build this model for over 200 different guns at the time of this writing, in various leather colors, thread colors, exotics, and of course our custom stamping and carving options.
Melissa and I want to as always thank you for the support and sincerely hope you know how much it is appreciated!
Thanks Again,
